I Feel Pretty

Amy Schumer in I Feel Pretty the MovieI couldnt resist going to the movies last night to see I Feel Pretty. I was hopeful that this light hearted comedy with a touch of risque was going to deliver a positive message - and Hollywood did not disappoint!

Actress Amy Schumer was brilliant as Renee Bennett, a young woman in a dead end job, struggling with feelings of insecurity and low self-esteem. A bad fall and a knock to the head have Renee believing that she is now incredibly beautiful, and suddenly, everything changes. With the confidence of a super model she is awe inspiring. Renee begins to live her life without fear, instead feeling totally empowered - and wow - what an impact she has on the people around her.

Here at Transformational Therapy, Im often talking to people about self-talk, and the impact it has on self-esteem and the achievement of life goals. This movie did a brilliant job of visually demonstrating how a change in self-perception can make you unstoppable. It's a great reminder of the power of the mind and how it can help you to live the life that you want - or not.

So how is your thinking?
